Pack 285 would like to welcome the 6 new Tigers, 4 new Wolfs, 2 new Bears, and their families that have recently joined our unit.  Welcome!  We hope you have a great time and an enjoyable scouting experience this year!

Congratulations to 2 of our Scouts, Andrew F. and Nicholas Foe. for winning the cub division in the Super Derby that was held on March 15 at FSK mall.  Nicholas, Webelos I, placed in 5th and Andrew, Bear, placed 1st!

A special award also went out to Jack L., Tiger, for good sportsmanship when his car broke twice.  He pulled it together and still managed to race in all 4 heats.  Well done Jack!

Kathleen Cleveland has been the newsletter coordinator for the Pack. However, her son is a Webelos II and will move on in March 2009. The Pack is looking for someone who is reliable and enthusiastic to take on this responsibility. If you are interested and would like to get more information, don’t hesitate to contact the Cubmaster and/or Kathleen.

We are happy to report that Paul Hinch, who is currently the Bear Leader and Pack Committee Chair, has graciously volunteered to be the new Cubmaster of Pack 285! Paul will be taking over for Karl, who has been the Cubmaster for the last three years, officially in May! There is no doubt that the Pack will continue to thrive, grow and improve under Paul’s leadership! A special ceremony will take place in May.
